Here are 5 random things from this week.. HAPPY FRIDAY!
………………………
1. I still have a small group of kids that are having a hard time identifying coins. This is an activity we did to help practice. Easy & super quick!
………………………
2. Our 100th day of school was Tuesday. We did a few things to get ready on Monday and we finished up a few things on Wednesday.. so we celebrated for 3 days! It is always a fun, fun day! You can see my 100th day posts here and here.
………………………
3. Three days this week I was at school before 7:00. We start school at 8:00. I would much rather be there early and leave early than get there late and leave late. I am usually one of the first ones out the door each day.
………………………
4. Look how precious these Valentine gumball treats are!! I love them! I found them at Sam’s. 24 for $10.00. This is what I am giving my kids for V’day!
………………………
5. The Super Bowl is Sunday.. let me tell you I could CARE LESS!! I don’t even know who is playing. I won’t watch it.. not even for the half time show or commercials. But, I will have something to keep me busy.. TpT is having a big {SUPER} sale on Sunday! Enter code SUPER to get up to 28% off items! Shop away!!! I would love for you to check out my store..
Thanks to Ashley Hughes for making the sale graphic!

I like the sorting mat you made for coins. I think I have a few students who could benefit from this as well!
ReplyDeleteI am also one of the first teachers to get to school in the morning...but am one of the last teachers to leave. I don't understand how they (ya'll) do it!

Adorable Valentine gift!! I'm with you on the Superbowl. I'll be shopping on TpT!! I arrive at school about the same time you do. My husband works there too and he likes to be early! Our students come in at 8. It is quiet in the morning and I can get stuff done!

I am loving this weekly link up party! It's a fun and easy way to summarize the week, and I get to check out tons of ideas on other blogs. Thanks so much for hosting this. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that coin sorting activity. I haven't done much with my kinders in relation to money this year. This would be a great way to review what we have talked about and to practice our sorting.

I love the coin mat, also. I am working on coin identification with my new student from Taiwan. I can have him speed sort! Thanks.

Thanks so much for hosting! I like the punctuation practice for the 100th Day. You would hope 100 days into 1st we would have it by now...alas! Here's to more practice :)

I'm the opposite of you... I get to school at the last possible moment (NOT a morning person) and stay a bit later to get things done :)
ReplyDeleteThose valentine treats are super cute! I haven't decided what to give my students yet. Gotta go check out the valentine selection!

I love the coin sorting mat! I may have to do something similar for a group of my kiddos who are still struggling with coin identification. And the Valentine's treats are adorable!

Such cute Valentine's gifts! I'm hoping to find something equally cute. No Sam's club here though.
I want to join this linky next time! Always see the posts, but never come by to see what it's all about. Shame on me for missing the fun!

I am a morning person, up at 5:00 even on the weekends. I would love to get to school that early, but my 10 year old usually doesn't roll out of bed until 7:00!! I will not be watching the Super Bowl either. It is the best day to be out in the water sufing, because I have the waves all to myself!!

I love those Valentine gumball treats! I have too many ideas for Valentines this year - I don't know what to pick!
ReplyDeleteI love getting to work early - but it is a 40 minute drive so that limits how early I am willing to get there - I usually aim for 30 minutes before the bell rings - an hour would be glorious!
ReplyDeleteLookingFromThirdtoFourth
I love your Friday linky. I look forward to it all week. :) Love your valentine gumball treats. I am the COMPLETE opposite of you. I like to get to school later and stay later. The kids come up to our rooms about 7:50 and I usually get there at 7:40. I am SO not a morning person and I have a 15 minute drive to daycare in the morning. I usually stay every day until about 4:30/5:00....to each his own I suppose. :)

Three days of 100's day? That sounds like good times! :) I wish I could get to work that early! :) The hubs works overnights, so I stay late as opposed to coming in early. :/ Thanks for this linky! :) I'm having a blast with it! :)
