Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool. Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.
Do you read Spookley to your school babies? This is such a sweet and fun little book that is always a class favorite. This year we made these super fun Spookley pumpkins.
I also bought the Spookley movie from Amazon a few weeks ago and left it with a sub one day. My first graders loved it! (and with Amazon Prime it was only $4.00.. score!)
We also did this sequencing activity with the Itsy Bitsy Spider and did a quick directed drawing for the top. The words are for the poem are found in my Spider Unit.
If you need a quick (no prep) math activity.. I would suggest sorting coins. This literally takes about 2 minutes to get together and the kids love it. And, they need the practice! We will be adding in quarters soon. Money identification is always a hard skill for some to pick up.
October 15th marks the beginning of my Christmas season with my stationery business. It will be crazy busy for the next two months but it is always exciting. I have a few holiday shows coming up in November so I am working on getting things together for those. My ordering deadline is usually the last weekend in November so that will be approaching really fast!
I screenshotted (is that a word?!?) this image from instagram a few days ago. I wish I remembered who I grabbed it from to give credit.. but it is TOTALLY true! Patience and wisdom are pretty important.
I hope you have a spooky and fun Halloween. I am posting this before school on Friday but our day is packed with Halloween fun. We are going trick or treating in the morning, Halloween party and a Halloween themed pep rally for our high school football team. It is sure to be day packed with sugar highs and hopefully lots of patience for me!
Happy Halloween!! Link up your Five for Friday post below.
