Five for Friday {Linky Party.. December 13th}

Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.

This week has been all about Skip.. our classroom "magic elf".  I feel like I say "calm down" twenty times a day.. but I do it to myself. How are they supposed to calm down when an elf is making a mess, leaving treats or just being mischievous.  I am glad I did not start "the elf" the Monday after Thanksgiving like I had planned.. it's a full time job keeping up with "the elf". HA!

Last year I left this super easy reindeer craft project for my substitute to do and they turned out really cute. We made them again this year.. they are quick and easy but turned out really cute. They are from Amy Lemon's blog.

Thursday was December 12th.. we made a 12 bead bracelet to remember
12 months in the year
12 things in a dozen
12 inches in a foot

We also made these cute Christmas tree ornaments out of scrapbooking paper.

As always, I love a weekend. I really, really really hope I can find the time to get some presents wrapped and put under our bare tree. Right now, our cats have moved in. If they are awake and the tree is on they are under it. They love the tree skirt, the ornaments and the lights. They definitely have a little Christmas spirit.

Enjoy your weekend.

  3. Aww... my cats love to curl up under the tree too, like little presents. We always include them on Christmas morning with little treats to unwrap - so fun watching them try to get it open (or sometimes completely ignore it...haha!)

  9. The reindeer are so cute and I think I am going to give the tree ornaments a try this week! So cute! (and looks easy, I haven't thought of a gift to go home yet and you may have just saved me!)

    My kitty loves the tree to. The bottom half is now undecorated. He's enjoying it though! Happy Holidays!
