Five for Friday {Linky Party... February 26th}

Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool. Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.

I've missed you Five for Friday friends! I missed posting my personal 5 things the past two weeks. The linky button was still here for you to link up but I skipped out on posting anything.

The first week I was just sick, sick and I STILL cannot shake this crummy sickness. My throat is still sore and I have not had a full night's sleep in several weeks because I have a terrible cough. Forget those cough pills that say that last 12 hours. They work about 2 hours for me.. and then I have to wait several more hours before I can take another one.

Enough about my pitiful self!! HA! Last week I skipped out on posting because it was our school's largest fundraiser and I am in charge of the silent auction. We had over 150 items just in the silent auction and my body and brain were dead from organizing and taking care of that! It was last Thursday night so there was NO way I could get a post up and ready on time.

Thank you to every single one you that linked up even with my absence!!

Did you know Instagram allows you to have multiple open accounts now! This is such a game changer!! I have had two accounts for years but I never shared my other account because I used it just to store and save pictures of my stationery business. Well.. now I can have my Doodle Bugs Teaching account and my Doodle Bugs Paper account open at the same time. They make it super easy to jump back and forth between accounts and once again I declare that Instagram is my #1 social media site!

I would love for you to follow me on both accounts if you wish....

And... WHY aren't you using ebates!! My Big Fat Check {that's what they call it} came in the mail this week. No, I am not getting rich but a little extra cash is always nice!
If you shop online- you are missing out on cash back!

Even online sites like Amazon, Ebay, Jane, Etsy, etc.. are affiliated with Ebates
Sometimes they only offer small amounts back but every little penny I get back I will gladly take!

I feel like it is my job to share this product with you. I saw this recommend a few weeks ago on a friend's Instagram account. She recommended ordering it from Amazon but you could also purchase it at Ulta, Walgreens and sometimes TJ Maxx carries it. It is SUPER cheap for the quality! $5.99 on Amazon and it is the BEST dry shampoo I have found. I also really love Dove brand and it's super cheap too but this Batiste is AWESOME!!!
{and just in case you care my LEAST favorite is Tresemme.}

It seems from this post I haven't done any teaching or have any classroom pics to share. It has been a calm week and my students and myself definitely needed that. I was out several days last week and we just recovered from Valentine's Day. We needed a week that was calm and not so hectic so we could get back to our schedule. It's REALLY weird for me to jump from Valentine's Day - to President's Day - straight to Easter! {and let's don't forget those pesky leprechauns for St. Patrick's Day!}

As much as I love summer break- I really hate to lose this bunch of firsties. This year is 3/4 over! We take our quarterly assessments next week! Yikes!!!

Link up your Five for Friday post below! Happy, Happy WEEKEND!!!

  1. I LOVE the Batiste dry shampoo.. It's a little pricey here in Australia about $14.50 for the larger bottle and $10.50 for the smaller one, but I still buy it! I've tried other brands, but this one is the best! :)

  5. Great tip about Instagram. I am also glad to hear from someone who actually uses Ebates. I have seen ads on TV, but never thought about doing it. Why not? Now I may give it a try. Thanks so much for the link up!
