Five for Friday {linky party..January 3}

Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.

It's a little sad that Christmas is over and done! We enjoyed several family Christmas get-togethers and a lot of "down" time at home. One big tradition we have at my parent's house are these "stocking bags". We outgrew the traditional stockings years ago and have moved "up" to these big bags. This year they had to be delivered in a huge utility/wagon cart.

Here is a look at my stocking bag before the digging started...

And.. here is PART of the goodies that were inside. Clothes, snacks, gift cards and tons of fun stuff.

And look at this super cute bench for my office. It was one of my gifts from my mom & dad.

I have been working like crazy the last few days trying to finish a penguin unit. It has 10 center activities.. and should be ready tomorrow {I hope!}

I spent a few hours at school on Wednesday getting ready for next week. Every bit of Christmas is packed up and the snowman & penguins are out.

My mom and I had a fun day this week and did a little shopping. I love hitting up the after Christmas sales. Target had their Christmas items marked 70% and Hobby Lobby had 80% off. I really did not need ANYTHING.. so I refrained from buying tons of cute stuff but I did pick up a few things to use for next year. It was all so cheap... how could I resist?

I bought this really cute Crayola ornament from Target. I saw it a few weeks ago  and loved it. I HAD to have it when it was only $2.40.

I also did a little cleaning out this week. I made a trip to the Salvation Army and donated several bags of clothes and this huge stack of books.

Have a great weekend! I am really not ready to go back to the "real world" on Monday. Staying up late, sleeping in and my pajamas have become very familiar the last two weeks! But, it is time to get back on schedule. And, the rest of this holiday food is going in the trash TODAY!

  1. Love that bench, Kacey! So colorful and fun. I'm with you on the throwing away of holiday food... if I don't I'll never resist it! Enjoy your last few days of lounging in your Pj's and Happy New Year!

  2. I had to get out of the 80% off aisle at Hobby Lobby because I was throwing too many things in my cart. I love all of your bags and of course the great Christmas things inside of it. We have outgrown our stockings, too so maybe I need to go back to that 80% aisle this weekend and see if that have some great bags!! Happy New Year

  4. It looks like you got some great Christmas gifts! I love the idea of the stocking bag and I saw a few things I could ask for next year - I am terrible about asking for things for myself! Happy New Year!

  5. Wait! I am still stuck on the fact that Lauren Conrad wrote a book?!? I loved her in Laguna Beach! Is this before, during, or after The Hills? Worth reading?
