Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.
It is Homecoming Week at our school. Our school is First-Twelfth Grades and this is a BIG deal at our school.
It was a crazy week for sure.. but we did manage to squeeze in lots of work in between the fun!
Every day this week was a dress-up day. Monday was Pajama Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Duck Dynasty Day {so fun!}, Thursday was Tie Dye Day and today is Jersey Day.
The theme for this year’s Homecoming was “Out of this World” so we made this sign to hang in the high school hall for the football players. The player’s names and numbers are on the stars. {Let’s don’t talk about how uneven the black paper is cut! YIKES!}
We have been working hard on counting money.. and I am amazed at how well this group of kids have picked it up. First we sorted money {pennies, nickels, and dimes} and then we practiced coutinig out different amounts.
We are really learning to work with a partner. So, one of this week’s activities was to share and cut the words to our weekly Bible verse and glue the words in order.
For the last few weeks I have been working on my newest unit.. about Spiders! And these fun little items have been hanging out on my desk for a week. I hope to get it listed this weekend or early next week!
Enjoy your weekend!

I remember when I lived in south MS, we were in a separate building from the MS/HS, but it was a big deal for all of the schools! They would send the band, cheerleaders, and football team over to do a big pep rally for us as well. LOVE that sign!
