Five for Friday {Linky Party… April 12}

fiveforfriday

It’s Friday!!!! This week has flown by.. and I am shocked that we have a month left of school. Our last day is May 17th and I am a little worried about everything I need to squeeze into these last days! So much to do!!

Here are my “Five for Friday” and would love to have you post five random things from this week and link up below!

One of our major math skills we have been working on mastering this week was adding 10 to a number. We spent some time each day doing some math problems on the board. I just write math facts and use my document camera and let them go pick one to answer. It is a great time filler…

On another note, we had storms pass through on Thursday and the electricity was out at my school for a little while. One of my kids said, “This shouldn’t be a problem.. we spend  a lot of time in the dark anyway.” She was so right… I question how I ever lived without my Elmo!

Since we worked hard on adding 10 this week.. I made this little Spring freebie. If you follow me on facebook you probably all ready saw this but here is a quick matching activity I made. You can download it below.

This week I have worked to finish two new products that I am really excited about. We have used both of these in my class this week and I am excited to share them with you. I hope to have them listed this weekend!

This afternoon we had “Spring Cleaning” at school. Each class spent a little time doing some extra cleaning .. I put my little ones to work! They loved it.. but it was probably more work supervising 14 cleaners than it would have been doing it myself! HA! Anyway.. we got rid of lots of dust but no junk! I really need to have a BIG clean-out! My room is so small- and it is so cramped with stuff!

You know what Monday is .. ugh! The downfall of owning your own businesses is no fun this time of the year. We made the trip to our accountant’s office this week and will be having a check writing party this weekend. Enjoy your weekend!

Link up below! Would love for you to join the party!!!

  2. I think I've sent you a message before, but I cannot remember, so I'm doing it now :) I just want you to know that you have a former second grade classroom teacher turned homeschooling mom in Mississippi who buys everything you put on TpT and I print every free printable you've got! I love all of your products and so do my girls. I just need you to keep moving up grade levels with us :) Keep up the good work!

  9. I love my Elmo too. We have 5 in our building and each one has a stuffed Sesame St. character attached to it. Mine is Oscar, although I'm not usually a grouch! I love your linky. Enjoy your May 17 release. I have well over a month more than you!

  10. I had an all-day meeting on Monday...writing sub plans was difficult. We can't let our subs use our login on the computer. Planning math was sooo hard without my gadgets, lol. I'm tech dependent.

  11. Wow, you guys get out so early! That was us earlier when we were finishing building our new schools! The cleaning looks fun! I LOVE your new products-- everything you make is so incredibly cute! I so wish I taught younger grades so I could use the two new ones.. I'm seriously in love with the adorable cover pages you made for them :) Happy Friday!

  14. Thanks so much for the freebie. One of our PLC goals this year was 10 more/10 Less. This will be a great center for them. I am jealous that you are out that early. I would also be in a huge panic as I keep thinking of all the stuff that I have yet to do. :)

  15. 34 days left for me... I wish it was May 17th :)

    How does TPT work with taxes? All I have heard is that they don't send a 1099 unless it's over $20,000 - and I'm relatively new at this whole thing, didn't really get anything going until this year. Any input would be helpful.

  23. Thanks for sharing this post I also share with you some tip hope you like. Over and over we hear the nightmare stories of small party rental companies that have not delivered what they promised, have delivered them late or have supplied rentals that are not in working order. In addition, you will often find add-on expenses that you never saw coming. If this is a special event, don’t take any chances, go with the best.
