Today was my first day back at school with kids.
It was only a 1/2 day.. but I am worn out!
I will have 14 little first graders this year. Lucky me.. 7 girls and 7 boys!
I am the only first grade class at my school.
I made this blue poster a few years ago and I came across it while cleaning out my room this year. I thought I would use it one more time before probably throwing it out.
This is my hall bulletin board and door in the hall outside my room.

My “Out of this World” theme carried over onto our nightly homework folders.
These are “helper cards” that I hang under the Helper of the Day sign.

Crayon picture from a former student. I actually have 2 of these now- both made by former students.
I moved my money posters to above my calendar area- and new story element cards.
These are magnets that we will use on our behavior system chart.

Adorable pictures :) So excited to hear your first day went well. We don't start for another month! What font did you use for the "FIRST GRADE IS THE BEST" poster that was in your first picture? I love it!
LOVE your classroom-I can't imagine how it would be to teach 14 children-I had 24 1st graders last year!! Quick question-what size are you story element posters? did you use a cricut to make them?

First Grade is the best! I really wish our first day was a half day. It'd be like dipping your toe in the water...but no...we jump right in.

I love that you out of this world theme super cute. I am so jealous that you only have 14 students. That would be dream come true. Last year I had 27 kindergarteners and it was a bit overwhelming at times especially since 85% of my students were ELL. Good luck with the school year. I look forward to sharing ideas as well.
