12 for 12 {January}

january12collage

A blogging friend of mine always does 12 pictures to document the 12th day of each month! I have always really liked looking at her 12th day posts- so I thought I would start.

So, here are 12 random pictures I took today…

left to right, top to bottom

{1} I had a few extra minutes this morning before I left and I sat down and cut some of my Valentine unit. I am really excited about all the pink and red! I love those colors mixed together.

{2} I left for work at 7:21. I should also mentioned that it is pretty awesome that I got to work at 7:25. Anybody else have a quick commute?

{3} Today’s calendar time .. January 12th. Really?

{4} Today’s chart paper work- we do this daily. It is basically a review or an intro to skills we are working on. Kind of like a daily message.. but we don’t always have the traditional “message”. I use to do a letter to my class each day.. but I got bored writing it. Now, I do this and mix everything up. It works for me…

{5} We are collecting money for the local dog shelter. We have raised $17.49 so far. Our goal was to bring enough “change” to at least buy one bag of dog food.

{6} One of my centers this week is a magazine search.. this is the quickest center I can throw together and still be considered the.best.teacher.in.the.world. They love it!

{7} A little pattern block time!

{8} My planner reminds me I have a birthday next week.. don’t worry.. I am not the one that has be reminded… I remind every one else! HA! I am taking a 1/2 day off to celebrate!

{9} The first two things that happen when I get home.. pj bottoms and a big glass of cold, ice tea!

{10} Newsletter time.. Every Thursday I type my weekly newsletter to send home on Fridays. I always type my newsletter on my office computer.

{11} I worked on few stationery orders this afternoon too.

{12} And now.. I am enjoying a few quiet minutes of computer time. This time- in”my chair” on my laptop. I am working on some valentine goodies. Unless we get snow soon.. I am ready to move on from snowmen!

Nothing too exciting happened today! It was COLD!

So..

How was your day?

Did you do anything exciting?

Are you glad tomorrow is Friday?

Do you have Monday off?

Love this 12 for 12 idea! Super cute!
I also have a super quick commute. I put about 4 miles on my car a day if I'm only going to work and home. I do love that! :)

Not quite "cold" here. Can't wait for it to feel like winter though!

It was a pretty good day. Didn't get called in to sub. So instead I started a linky party, found what I think will finally be 'my' blog template, and doing some TBA stuff.

Yes I am happy tomorrow is Friday!

And yep, have Monday off!!! Yay :)

Cute photo idea!

My commute to school is about 5 minutes if I make all the lights. The best part is I can watch the sunrise over the ocean during the commute so I wish it took longer.

We really didn't do anything exciting today...just the usual...but my K students did their first four square writing of the year...they did AWESOME!

I am THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF that tomorrow is Friday. This week crept by.

Yes, no school Monday. So...my family will be at Disney for the weekend. It's a magical place!

Enjoy your weekend!

I'm loving the 12 for 12! I might just have to start that next month. I totally second the linky party idea! :)

Today was blah... forgot to pack lunch, so I ate at school, school lunch was blah, the sweet tea was blah, my kiddos were blah, BUT tomorrow is Friday, and I've pulled together the (I hope) cutest twist on MLK, Jr's "I have a dream..." for tomorrow!!

TGIAF!!

Yahoo!! It's Friday and I am taking my 2nd graders to Legoland California for a workshop on gears, levers and pulleys. Should be fun. There is no school on Monday and I plan on spending the day relaxing with my two year old son and playing a little catch up on school work. I cannot wait to see your Valentine's Day treats!!!

This is very cool!!! I really liked looking at your pictures!
I have a weird question because I saw something in your pics but it's not what you talked about. So it's probably weird. BUT . . . my question is about your soft tiles rug. Do you have the 12x12 ones? And if so, can each kid fit on one or not really??? I have been wanting to get some (green and blue, too!!!!) but I don't know whether to go with the 12x12 or 24x24.
Any advice??
