Bubble Gum Back to School Theme

This was my bulletin board outside my door last year.

Close up of bubble gum machine I made..
It was made from white and red poster board and silver glitter.
(because I love glitter!!)

Their homework folders had bubble gum labels on the outside.

And thanks to a childhood friend--- who had this in her room when we were growing up. We had a real gumball machine! Her dad dug it out of storage for me and I gave it a fresh coat of paint.. and we enjoyed gumballs ALL YEAR LONG!

Every afternoon if their behavior had been good they could get one gumball before they left for the day.

I can't believe it! I had a bubble gum machine just like yours when I was a second grader! I think it's why I love bubble gum. I did the "How to blow a bubble" writing lesson by SOS teachers the last week of school with my second graders and we had a blast!

Hi Kacey! We LOVE this bulletin board and added it to our gumball bulletin board feature on our blog, Bulletin Board Ideas! We were sure to give idea/photo credit, as well as a link back to your blog, but we'd love if you'd take a look at it! We'll certainly remove the feature if there are any problems :)

Thanks so much!
