I teach in a private, Christian school and luckily we get to teach the meaning of Christmas to our little ones.
We made these simple {but precious} Baby Jesus pictures last week. They each have their own personality.

I whipped up these color word owl match cards last weekend for us to use in the pocket chart this past week. You can download a free set {here}.
They fit perfect in a pocket chart {you know I love pocket charts!!} or they can be used on a table or on the floor!

Today is the last day of Teacher Week over at Blog Hoppin’. Today is all about freebies so make sure you jump over to the site and see what everyone is sharing.
One of the activities we did last week was to use letter cards to practice spelling names. I wish I had better pictures of these but I got busy helping and forget to take more pictures.
But here are a few…
I copied these letter cards on all different colors of construction paper and divided my class into groups of 3. I gave them each a “bucket of letters” and a sentence strip. They had to find the letters to spell their names.
After they found their letters they had to cut them out, and glue them in order. I don’t have any pictures after they started cutting or gluing.
This was great practice for names but we will use these cards all year to spell words. You can download a free set of letter cards from my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.
The cards include all 26 letters lowercase and uppercase.

I posted this picture last September and it has been pinned a lot of times on pinterest. I get many, many emails about the graphics and the lettering. Just this morning, I got 2 emails wanting me to make these name cutouts. I just decided to do it this morning..

Now, here are the details…
Lettering: The font is called MTF Jumpin Jack and you can get it from Miss Tina’s fonts. It is free for personal use but if you plan to use it commercially you have to buy a license.
The letters are not included in the free download.. just the “clouds” with the football players/cheerleaders.
Graphics: The graphics are from an old cd that I probably purchased 10 years ago. It is called Color Me Kids and I bought it from www.pccrafter.com . This website is no longer in business… so I have no suggestions or ideas if the cd is still available. I tried searching for it. I found a picture on Amazon but it says it is not available. You can see here..
The free download includes a cheerleader and a football player for you to print out and write in your students’ names. The picture above shows our school’s initials on the cheerleader and mascot’s name on the football player- those are left blank on the download too.
As much as I would love to help.. I can not do these in custom colors. So sorry! I realize red and white might not be very usable for many. But, I hope a few people can use them!

Last August I shared a few Brown Bear freebies with you. I wanted to take the time to put them in my Teachers Pay Teachers store so anyone who missed them could have a chance to download them easily.
First, is a student Brown Bear book. Students can write a sentence for each picture and color the pictures to go along with the book.

These cards work great with these letter tiles that you can find in school supply catalogs, stores.. or you can click on the picture and order from Amazon.
I do admit these are pricey- but they are pretty awesome! They do have other sets on Amazon that are cheaper {search letter tiles}. I can not say what quality they are.. the ones above are the ones I use in my classroom. I also like the double bonus that they are magnetic and can be used on my magnetic boards.
