Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.
We left off last week on my birthday.. I managed to survive the day with my little ones and enjoyed a long birthday weekend! Hard to believe that the next holiday for us is SPRING BREAK! What!?!?!
I said no cake.. instead I got flowers! Sweet!
When we came back to school on Tuesday.. we were ready to celebrate the 100th day of school. I used activities from my 100th day unit. I didn't do as much as I normally do. I usually stretch the 100th day out over several days.. but we stuck to celebrating one day this year.
I required my students to bring in a 100 item project. Here are just a few. They did a great job. Melted crayons were the popular project. We had 3 melted crayon projects in our class.
We made this super fun {and happy} bulletin board for our hallway. I have added these patterns to my 100th day unit if you are interested. It was super easy and was a great time filler.
Between a short week and the 100th day of school.. we had to work hard to squeeze in everything. Long U was our phonics skill for the week and I used my long u packet.
Have a fun weekend! Link up below!
I love your smiley face board! Also, your kids' creations are wonderful! Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to link up with you...

I love the idea of the students making the bulletin board - why haven't I thought of that before? Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the 100th day of school. Ours is still a few weeks away though and now, with an ice day, it has been moved back a day.

Thanks so much for the weekly linky- it's my favorite! I love your 100 day collections- I can remember doing those when my kids were in Kindergarten. Now, my daughter teaches Kindergarten! She took pictures of her students and then placed them in an App that ages you to look like you are 100. The kids then wrote a little about being 100!
ReplyDeleteThanks again!

Teachers Are Terrific!
Lots of great 100's day ideas! Thank you as always for the linky!
ReplyDeleteAll of this 100th day talk makes me sad that I missed out on it this year. I usually ALWAYS do it but this year I was "talked out of it."
ReplyDeleteSo doing it next year but instead of 100th day I am going to do the 120th day and just aligned that to 1.NBT.1.1!
