Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.
This week has been really low-key and not much to report! For the first time in three weeks we actually went to school all five WHOLE days! Not that I EVER EVER EVER complain about a day off.. but anytime we have 1/2 days the whole week seems off to me.
We are continuing to enjoy Halloween and still have more fun and exciting stuff for next week. Next week will sure to be busy with a big Harvest Festival and Halloween. Nothing says sugar high more than a week full of candy!
We worked on a SUPER SIMPLE ghost directed drawing this week. We did the pencil part on Monday as a whole group and then one of my weekly afternoon center rotations was to finish the ghost. It worked perfectly not having all my kids painting at one time. Just a few! We still need to finish them up and I am going to mount them on construction paper before I hang them up. I will grab a picture and share the finished product probably next week.
One of our math centers this week are these fill in the missing number cards. These are from my Halloween Centers Unit.
This math center was thrown together at the last minute because we need all the extra practice we can get for math facts.
Another math center we did this week were these Counting by 10's pumpkins. So Cute! They put the cards in order in the pocket chart. It was perfect practice since it goes from 10-300. I had them do a recording sheet when they finished too.
These are from my Happy Halloween Centers.
We started buddy reading this week too during small group time. These kiddos rocked it. We talked and set up a bunch of "rules" before we started but it went off without any problems. They were reading short u practice sentences from my Short Vowel Unit.
Have a wonderful weekend! Link up your Five for Friday post below.
You always have the most adorable and engaging center activities! I bet your students absolutely love going to school each day because you are their teacher. ;)
