Baby Steps

007

I have been working in my classroom this week- just like so many of you! It’s such a BIG job .. but at least I enjoy the time I spend organizing, cleaning and getting it looking nice for a new school year!

One big project that had to be done this summer was cleaning out and organizing this big metal storage cabinet I have. My classroom is so small compared to some of the ones I see on other teacher’s blogs. Storage is a HUGE issue with me. I have way too much STUFF and no where to put it!

So, I took everything out of this cabinet and and started fresh with clear boxes and labels. I didn’t take the time to make cute labels-just plain white handwritten with a sharpie marker!

  3. Wow...what an improvement! I have been in a couple days myself doing those jobs there is no time to do when the kids return. You will appreciate your time spent all year long.

  4. Don't you just feel great when you look at that cupboard now!

On the subject of handwritten labels, I think that there is too much computer print for small children. They need to be able to read handwriting as well as fonts, so I'd stay with the labels. As it is, you have beautiful handwriting anyway!

  5. My class is super small too! I'm in a modular unit with 28 kids! I only have 2 coat closets that are supposed to be where I put all my stuff. I'm super jealous of the classrooms I see online too and I'll be working on my closet sometime in August probably (ugh) You've inspired me, so thank you!

  6. Looks great! I love spending time in Aug getting those kinds of organizational projects done (you know once the kiddos come there is none of that!).
    Thanks for sharing!
