Five for Friday is a weekly teacher linky party where you post five random things from today or this past week and on your blog. Then, you come back and link your blog post up at the bottom of this post in the linky tool.Grab the button above and link back to this post on your blog.
We had some family time at my parent’s house and as always.. I put them to work! The holiday season is about to hit hard with my stationery business and I had my mom and sister helping stock up on inventory to get ready for the rush.
Does your school collect Box Tops or Campbell Soup Labels?
If not.. send them to me!!
I somehow volunteered {or GOT volunteered} to start posting on our school’s facebook page random things from our elementary. I spent a little time early one morning cutting my Box Tops and Soup Labels to take these pictures just to post on the facebook page. What do you do at 5 am?
We did our first directed drawing this year.. and I lost all patience! HA! I am BLESSED with a great {super smart!} group of first graders this year but their artistic ability will need some work. I do have to say that these bats turned out 10x better than my first impression. It’s amazing what a little outlining, coloring and mounting will do! I even laminated each one so it would be a special treat to take home. We had fun .. and we will try {maybe} to do a drawing of a witch next week!
I took a personal day Thursday.. to do a little fun shopping. My mom and I went to a huge flea market that is held each year in October and May. We had fun.. and even bought a couple of Christmas gifts. Definitely the most popular items were wooden door hangers.
I have no picture of #5 but.. it is a glorious event! Today is a short day! Out at 10:50! Bless my soul! I am so looking forward to a few extra hours of time off! {Yes, I was out yesterday.. but this is different. No sub plans!}
Link up your blog post below! Happy Friday friends!

Kindergarten: Holding Hands and Sticking Together
YAY for personal days and shopping. A girl should always shop and spend time with her loved ones.
ReplyDeleteI think the bats and your bulletin board turned out perfect! Your little artist are lucky to have you as their teacher.

The Brown-Bag Teacher
Your bats are awesome! I have to say I'm jealous of your personal day. We have them, but they are nearly impossible to be approved for, and far from "personal"!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! I needed this today!

Teaching Maths with Meaning
I love your bats! I have a real bat in my room right now!! It's dead, thank goodness. It was found in a box of books in our library and they brought it to me! I am the STEM lab teacher. I pinned it to a piece of foam and double bagged it. It has stayed remarkably nice looking...

I am obsessive about cutting out box tops! I dig stuff out of the recycling bin when my husband throws them away!

The Colorful Apple
I am so jealous of all the districts that are allowed to use Halloween themed activities and projects! We aren't permitted to have anything Halloween related, even a jack o'lantern! Boo hoo for me! I love Halloween and have so many spooky things that I've used in the past! Have a bootiful month!
